The Global Schools Foundation (GSF) has been contributing to the needs of deserving students through various programmes and initiatives. With the Global Sports Scholarship (GSS) programme, GSF aims to provide foundational support to young sportspersons and recognise their achievements at the international and national levels. Along with financial support, the scholarship will also focus on encouraging budding talents by proper mentorship as and when required.
This scholarship is aimed for students who reside in Abu Dhabi (Emirates ID/VISA), including existing parents and student fraternity of GIIS, across grades 7-12. Candidates are invited to apply for Global Sports Scholarship for various individual and team disciplines including, Badminton, Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis, Chess, Athletics, Gymnastics, Swimming, Archery, Shooting, Boxing, Weightlifting, Cycling, Diving, Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Netball, Martial Arts (Judo & Karate), Wrestling, Hockey, Cricket, Rugby and Squash.
