Planning & Development

• Ensure there is a wide variety of sports in which students can participate
• Ensure students receive a high standard of coaching in sports
• Provide the opportunity for students to play fixtures within school and against other schools
• Enable students to develop socially and personally from participation in sport
• Discover and develop talents of students in physical achievements. 
• Ensure equipment is checked and safe to use.
• Plan and implement PE lessons based on the GIIS curriculum.
• Assess reports of students’ progress and report them to the principal and in the PTMs with parents, and as specified by the school
• Develop and manage dedicated School sports teams.
• Plan, organize and coordinate for the events for the promotion of games, sports and physical recreation programs

Organize

• Organize co-curricular workshops and camps to motivate and facilitate a holistic development in both academic and athletic elements for the students.
• Promote the establishment of sports clubs and physical recreation groups within the school
• Develop and implement short and long-range goals for the physical education programs
• Keep regular attendance records of students and classes conducted.
• MIS activity including follow up on student attendance, fees, progress in class (remedial), etc.
• Prepare Sport and Physical Recreation Budget 
• Organize educational excursions and tours as and when required

Coordination

• Responsible for all inter school and external sports related competitions.
• Develop sports infrastructure, from conception to implementation
• Provide technical advice to the staff and students and keep them up to date on policies and procedures
• Establish and maintain links with community sports and physical recreation clubs and agencies
